A Peshwai Dream - Mandar & Harshali

As a photographer, I have had the honor of capturing countless weddings, but the recent wedding of Mandar and Harshali was truly a dream come true. This couple chose to celebrate their love in the traditional Maharashtrian style, with Mandar donning a stunning Peshwai dress that made the entire wedding truly unforgettable.

One of the highlights of a Maharashtrian wedding is the bride's and groom's attire. The bride wears a stunning saree or lehenga, while the groom wears a dhoti and kurta with a distinctive topi (hat) known as pheta. However, Mandar's wedding attire took it to the next level. He chose to wear a Peshwai dress, which is a traditional attire worn by the Maratha kings and warriors of Maharashtra. It is a symbol of elegance, power, and prestige.

The Peshwai dress is typically made of rich silk fabric, with intricate gold and silver embroidery. It is paired with a turban, or pagdi, made of brocade fabric, with a feather or jewel in the front. Mandar looked every inch the royal groom in his Peshwai dress, with the outfit accentuating his handsome features and adding a touch of regal elegance to the wedding.

As a photographer, it was a pleasure to capture the beauty of this Maharashtrian wedding, with the Peshwai dress adding a special touch of grandeur to the event. The vivid colors, intricate designs, and rich cultural heritage of the wedding made it a feast for the eyes and the heart.
